The waiting...

Waiting....that's not an easy thing to do. I feel like the last year or so we have been waiting on The Lord to show us the direction he is leading our family. our hearts desire has been to be in Lavaca for several years (near the church and people we have served The Lord with for the past 11 years), but the timing has just not been right and we knew it. In Jan. we knew we were ready to make the move....so we listed our house!:).
We waited for the phone to ring knowing EVERYONE  was patiently waiting for our house to hit the market. Haha. Who doesn't think that!?!:). But we were wrong!  We have shown our house a few times, and everyone has loved it....but it's still for sale. Sigh...:)

About a month ago, while discussing out situation, I told Matt I felt like God was not honored by our lives because our hearts were so discontent with where HE had us.
We love our home, and we love our life here. But we were not living our lives in that way, and were not trusting the one who we so desire to follow.
We knew we had to make some changes.
As hard as it was, we knew it was time to plug in to the community in which God has us-for such a time as this
Matt and I didn't want to look back in a year...or two...still in this house...and have missed out on a year of pouring Christ in to others right where we are at.  A year of ministry. All because we were too busy looking ahead. Imposing our will on The Lord.

We have such peace as we wait. Knowing our waiting is simply just progress. It's progress as The Lord works out every detail. As he calms our hearts and shows us the way to his will!  I am thankful he works while we wait!  We are looking forward to this time and trust in his perfect plan for our lives and we are truly content in whatever direction He leads. Because the only place we want to be is in the center of his will. No other place will bring satisfaction in our lives.

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31
