Easter Weekend...

We had a great weekend. Saturday, we took Alyssa to an Egg Hunt and she had a great time. She was not sure what to do at first, but as soon as she saw the other kids with their eggs she was all in! I was running all over the place as well looking for eggs. (Bet you would have loved to see that?!!?)

We had a great day today at church. We had 3 services that we had to sing at. We ate lunch and headed home, took some pictures, and all of us took naps. I love Sunday afternoon naps! It has been a great relaxing day at the Ward house.

These pictures are from our wonderful weekend!

All Better!

Alyssa is all better. The eye is all cleared up and we had a great afternoon playing outside. I told Alyssa before she went to sleep that when she woke up from her nap we would go outside and play. MISTAKE! She usually takes a 3 -3 1/2 hour nap, and today she was up in an hour and half. We got to enjoy the day outside so that was nice, but mommy was not through with her nap!

The Eye...

Is that not pitiful! She does not even look like the same kid! She has just been breaking our heart! The sad thing is that she acted completely fine and when we were at the Dr. she was waving and saying hi to everyone and they were just staring at her like she was deformed or something. Well, maybe they thought I beat her! That is what it looked like. She is just precious and it hurts me to know she is in pain!

The last 2 weeks...

This picture was Sunday afternoon. She was playing outside in her play house! She loves to be outside doing anything!

Ok, so the last few weeks have been a little rough at the Ward house! We were at the Dr.'s office 4 times in 8 days. First of all, I took Alyssa in to the Dr. on a Wednesday 2 weeks ago. She had a really high fever and they tested her for strep and the flu. They both came back negative and sent us on our way saying she had a virus. I know my child and this was not a virus, but I trusted the "Dr." and headed back down the hill. By Friday, we were back at the Dr. because she was throwing up and had 104 temp. (pretty high, right?) Well, she was throwing up because the fever was so high. She could not even focus her eyes and could not stay asleep and the Dr. was not too concerned..UGH! They concluded she has strep, the flu, and double pink eye! So, we got our meds and headed home. By The next Wed. we were back at the Dr. because she was so conjested that she could not breathe or sleep so I wanted to make sure she did not have RSV or pnemonia. Well they cleared her of that, and said her ear was so swollen it was about to explode! I was like Awesome! So we got her medicine to clear up her ear. All was well, until Sunday night! I picked her up from the nursery and noticed her eye looked weird. Well as the night went on it was swelling. WEll by the time she woke up yeserday morning, her eye was so swollen it would not open and did not open all day. I took her to the Dr. and they said she was an allergy baby and would probably have to have shots. They put her on Zyrtec and she is muchbetter today! I am praying we stay away from the Dr. and Pharmacy for a really long time! They are breaking me!

So, here is a picture of Alyssa's eye last night. If it seems possible, it was so much worse yesterday morning. It has improved and opened up slightly in this picture. She is looking a little rough, but the poor girl has been through it!

Up all night=back at the Dr. today...

Last night was a flashback of what having a newborn is like. I was up about ever 30 minutes to an hour with Alyssa. She is still running a fever so we are headed back to the Dr. this morning. She has been up for good since 4am. Yes, that's right, 4 AM! At this point, I woke my wonderful husband and said his time had come so he layed on the couch with her till 6 this morning and I slept. It felt so good to sleep for 2 solid hours. I remember those days.

I am having my doubts that another little one will be in the picture any time soon. Well, at least until the flu is gone and I get my child back!

We need prayer today! Thanks!

So much going on...

Ok, so I know I have been slacking on the updates. Here they come! There has been so much going on at the Ward house so here is the latest...

First of all, we stopped giving Alyssa the binky last Sat. and she did great. She was really attached to the binky and I was amazed at how well she did. she went 4 days and never really asked for it. She took longer to fall asleep at nap time and bedtime, but she still did great. Then, on the 5th day (Monday), she got the flu. Ugh! I felt horrible for her so I ended up giving her the binky so she would have some comfort. She did not ask for it, I just gave it to her. As soon as she is better, she is going back to no binky. She already says, "Binky in the trash," so I think we are getting there! She has been so sick. She is a busy little bee and yesterday she layed on the couch for 5 hours straight and did not move. She fell asleep on the couch too. That is so not my child. She is better when her fever goes down. She just is running a really high fever. We are praying she gets better soon! It is so sad when your kids are sick. I will say, I am loving her wanting me to hold her and cuddle! That never happens!

We are also in the process of potty training. She loves to go to the bathroom on her "Dora Pee Pee." Whatever that means?!?!!? She is doing pretty well. She is only wearing pull-ups and doing pretty well. She tells me most of the time when she needs to go and the other times I just play the guessing game! I will keep you posted on this process. "Process" being the key word!

We sold our house in Farmington! That is a huge praise. We close on the 28th of this month so we are extremely ready to be done with that whole situation.

Matt is staying very busy with work. God is really blessing and we are very thankful. He is great to us and we are always so surprised. WHY??

Well, it seems like there is so much more to talk about, but this is it for now!

Keep posted cause there is never a dull moment!
