Branson weekend.

This weekend we headed out to one of our favorite places.  Good ol Branson, MO.  It's such a quick trip from our house and there is just so much fun stuff to do....and yummies to eat!  I mean we pretty much plan our trip (all our trips) around how much good food we can fit in!  :)
We started our weekend off with a whole day of rain.  We made the best of it!  We shopped, of course:)
Went in to Springfield and went to Bass Pro. The girls loved this place.  Free entertainment is what I'm talking about!
Maggie Moo's.  Um yum!  One of our children loves ice cream....One not so much.  Guess you can tell which one is which.  Alyssa just orders a cone!  Haha. She is not my child when it comes to some Maggies.
Love this pic of the girls and their daddy!  Silver Dollar City is a must...with or without kids!
We are a good team. Blessed to be partners with this man.
Our little fam.  We sure have fun!
These girls are some goofy critters!
Love her!
Such cuties!

I love little getaways with my sweet family.  God is so good to allow such sweet memories to be made. Blessed doesn't scratch the surface!

O Lord, I will honor and praise your name, for you are my God.  You do such wonderful things....Isaiah 25:1

Just a peak...

Just a little peak in to our Wednesday.  Donuts, sidewalk chalk, monogramming, swimming, family.  Enough to make my heart explode.   Love my Jesus.  Love his blessings.

Oh just a week at the Ward house!

These girls hang on everything their daddy says. Thankful for this bond.

This girl was in town. We ALWAYS hit up panera while she's in town. It's just our happy place. So good to catch up with her. Always good to my soul to see her sweet face!!
We made sidewalk paint. It kept the girls entertained for quite some time!!:). Easy breezy craft!
A little dinner at catfish hole with my sweet sidekick!  That place Never disappoints. Hush puppies. Enough.

These two..ahhh love them!

Met up with these sweet girls for a little lunch and swimming action!  They had a blast.

I love summer and all the fun it brings along!:). It's full of memory making, family and friends.

Thankful for the seasons God created. I enjoy them All. May it be said of me that i equally enjoy every season of life. They change so quickly. Some good...some hard, but one thing remains. God is there through them all.

Fabulous 4th

Our 4th consisted of good, fun, swimming, relaxing on the porch, killer weather, good friends and sweet memories.

These girls would swim all day every day if I let them. Seriously half fish!
Thankful for this friend and her sweet spirit. Always an encouragement in my life.
Just a mean plate of goodness. That's all.
Drama right there. Love them and all their silliness.

Little bit had gotten stung by something the day before. Pitiful. Sister just wasn't feeling the 4th celebration. But...was so good!!!

Thankful for this holiday and for the freedom it brings Thankful for our Savior Who gives the ultimate freedom. Everlasting life.

The waiting...

Waiting....that's not an easy thing to do. I feel like the last year or so we have been waiting on The Lord to show us the direction he is leading our family. our hearts desire has been to be in Lavaca for several years (near the church and people we have served The Lord with for the past 11 years), but the timing has just not been right and we knew it. In Jan. we knew we were ready to make the move....so we listed our house!:).
We waited for the phone to ring knowing EVERYONE  was patiently waiting for our house to hit the market. Haha. Who doesn't think that!?!:). But we were wrong!  We have shown our house a few times, and everyone has loved it....but it's still for sale. Sigh...:)

About a month ago, while discussing out situation, I told Matt I felt like God was not honored by our lives because our hearts were so discontent with where HE had us.
We love our home, and we love our life here. But we were not living our lives in that way, and were not trusting the one who we so desire to follow.
We knew we had to make some changes.
As hard as it was, we knew it was time to plug in to the community in which God has us-for such a time as this
Matt and I didn't want to look back in a year...or two...still in this house...and have missed out on a year of pouring Christ in to others right where we are at.  A year of ministry. All because we were too busy looking ahead. Imposing our will on The Lord.

We have such peace as we wait. Knowing our waiting is simply just progress. It's progress as The Lord works out every detail. As he calms our hearts and shows us the way to his will!  I am thankful he works while we wait!  We are looking forward to this time and trust in his perfect plan for our lives and we are truly content in whatever direction He leads. Because the only place we want to be is in the center of his will. No other place will bring satisfaction in our lives.

But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength. They will soar high on wings like eagles. They will run and not grow weary. They will walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31

10 years of fabulousness.

Look at these two love birds!  So young and carefree!
10 years feels like it has flown by but yet again it feels like we have been married for a lifetime. We have had an amazing 10 years.
We have moved 3 times. Had 2 amazing little bundles of joy! Had many, many laughs and many tears Too. Traveled the world together. Have fallen more in love than we could have ever dreamed up. We have learned how to love one another better and have spent the last 10 years growing in our love and friendship. I can honestly  say it had been nothing Short of amazing. God has blessed.
I seriously can't get enough of this man!  We took off to Dallas for the weekend and had a blast!
Rangers baseball. Good times.
Footlong hotdog. Yes please. I love concession stand food. Bring on the nachoes:)
Quite the navigator. Always calm and can bob and weave through traffic like no other!!:)
Ok let me just tell you about this place. I seriously haven't stopped thinking about this breakfast since we left. I know. Get a life right?!:). We plan our trips around how many times we can eat here!  If you are ever in Frisco, TX you need to make the trip to this place!  If you don't like it...just bring me your leftovers!!:). Hehe

Still goofy as ever. If you can't be a dork with the one you love then who can you be a dork with?!:)

Our trip was cut short due to a sick little girl, but it was just a great reminder of another product of 10 years of marriage. Two sweet little girls!;)
