Baby # 2...

We went to the Dr. today and found out that Baby # 2 is a girl! We are still throwing around names, but we are aiming towards " Bella Grace." I have always loved the name and Matt did not like it at all for Alyssa but loves it this time around! Weird!?!?!
I was so sure that this one was a boy. I had a name all ready "Christian Matthew" and the room done up in my head. This just shows that God is in control of every situation!
We could not be more excited. I am looking forward to raising 2 little girls. I always wanted a sister and I am so excited Alyssa will be able to share that bond with her sister! Matt is very excited for another little girl! I think he was pulling for a girl the whole time!! So sweet! He is way out numbered now!! YAY!!

Heat of the Summer, St. Louis, 5 months pregnant, and organizing!!

This has been a busy yet wodnerful summer so far. The heat is almost more than I can handle at this point and I feel a slight bit of suffocation everytime I step outside. It is amazing how children apparently don't feel that at all. Alyssa would play outside all day long if I would. I would just die! She loves to be outdoors which I am very thankful for (in the fall and spring).





Matt and I had a great time in St. louis. We went to a John Mayer concert and a couple of Cardinal games and we shopped and ate a lot! It was a great long weekend for us and we look forward to taking another trip soon! We are heading to Dallas at the end of August to shop and visit some friends. We are taking advantage of only having one child until December. Though we are looking forward to baby number 2 coming along, we know it will be more difficult to do these things with multiple children!

I will be finding out in a week what we are having! We can't wait! I have a feeling it is a boy, but you just never know! I can't believe I am already in my 5th month! I will post some pictures of the belly soon!!! It is growing!









Alyssa is with her grandparents for a few day and Matt is working on a retaining wall for some landscaping and I am working on some organzing! It is amazing the stuff you accumulate. We have an extra bedroom in this house but we are still out of room! How is that possible? It apparently is! I am hoping to get the middle bedroom(toy room) closet organized tonight with labeled storage bins for all my crafting stuff! That will be so helpful.





Well I have rambled on long enough! I am just glad I had something to talk about!

The New Pool...

Here are a couple of pictures of Alyssa and Daddy in her new pool. We got one of those above ground blow up pools and I must say that thing is pretty awesome. I get in it everyday for a little bit while she is napping and it is quite relaxing and nice to get some free uv rays! So here is the little girl!

Alyssa turns 2, 4 months pregnant, and 5 Year Annivesary...

Yes so many topics and so random, I know! I am a horrible blogger! I get on here and check everyone else's blog daily, but mine lacks in the updating category! I just never feel we have anything worthy of blogging going on, but I guess we do. I just enjoy the daily blogs and updates on families. It is just fun to read about SO, with that said, I am going to try to do better!

So, Alyssa just turned 2 on the 17th! WOW! My baby is 2. That is just so hard to imagine. It really does seem like yesterday she was born and just so small and quiet and precious. She is still precious, but never quiet. She is a talker and does not meet a stranger! She is one funny kid! She definetly keeps us laughing all the time. She is a blessing to us and we could not imagine life without her!

In other news, we are expecting our second baby! I am in my 4th month and feeling great. I am ready to know what we are having and just praying for a healthy, happy baby! It is crazy to think there is going to be another child in the house, but we are looking forward to the craziness! It is crazy now, so why not add a lot more to it!!!! Well, it is happening so we better just get ready!! I am due in the middle of December! YAY!!

Matt and I are celebrating our 5 year anniversary this Saturday! I can't believe it has already been that long! Time really does fly! Where has it all gone?!? We are going to dinner on Saturday, and then leave Thursday for St. Louis for 4 nights! We are going to a john mayer concert and a couple of cardinal games so we are looking forward to the getaway! We were thinking beach, but I was just a little worried that I would be so hot and I am glad that we decided on St. Louis it is going to be so much fun and a great getaway!

Grand Cayman

We had such a great trip to Grand Cayman. It is always just a very relaxing trip for us. This was the first year that we have taken Alyssa and she had a blast. Flying was a BIG hit. She loved it. I was a little nervous cause you just never know how they are going to react to the airplane and flying, but she was such a trooper. She sat by the window and looked out and yelled, "We're flying...WHEE WHEE!" It was so funny!

Our Schedule was pretty much the same all week while in the Caymans. I did NOTHING!! MAtt scuba dives everyday and then goes on a night dive once while we are there and I pretty much lay by the pool and on the beach and sun bathe. Alyssa was taken care of almost all day by her papa. He wanted nothing more than to watch her. So, we would go to the pool "fwimmin" every morning and then she would take her LONG afternoon nap and then go back to the pool right before dinner. She is a fish in the water. She loves it!

It was a great trip for us. One we look forward to almost every year!

Lacking Lately...

Yes, it is me. I am updating! I am sorry to all that have been on me about updating! IT has been a little too long! I am fully aware of that! Sorry again!

There has been so much going on here at the Ward house. A almost 2 year old, which can possible be enough of a reason that i have been busy. Matt has been working on our landscaping. He has finished the beds. It was a 3 weekend project and he finished on Mother's Day. What a fabulous gift! My uncle is a landscape architect and he drew us up some beautiful plans and Matt followed that and it looks wonderful. I will post some pictures soon. Matt is also making some cedar shutters for a few of our windows on the front of the house and I can't wait for those to bed done.

Alyssa is just getting so big and just amazing! I never imagined she could be any sweeter, funnier, smarter, and just down right adorable, but she is EVERYDAY!!! She really is. She just says the funniest things and is just such a joy to be around. I can't even believe she will be 2 next month! YIKES!! Time has really flown by!

On another note, we are leaving on Sunday for Grand Cayman for a week and I can't hardly wait! We are all in need of a vacation and the beach is the best place for that. The Caymans are just so relaxing and peaceful and I can't wait to soak up some sun. I am in desperate need of a TAN!!!
We are flying with Alyssa and this will be a first so please say a prayer for us this Sunday morning! I am sure she will be fine. I have bought her all kinds of fun things that she will not see till we get on the plane! I am hoping all we see are her eyelids! But, I can't always get what I want, right?!?!

I had a great mothers day! Matt and Alyssa got me 4 huge hanging plants for my back porch and they are Beautiful! I have always wanted some hanging plants but never had a place for them and this house has a huge back porch so I have so much room and they are just gorgeous!

Well, as soon as I find my usb chord, I will post some pictures of all our projects going on! Until then...just be proud of my update! I AM!!!
